FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Booking ahead guarantees a slot, especially during peak flu season, but we accept walk-ins whenever a pharmacist is available.

Most visits are around 10 to 15 minutes, including the suitability check, the vaccination itself, and a short observation afterwards.

You may qualify for a free NHS flu jab if you are 65 or over, pregnant, an unpaid carer, live in a care home, or have certain long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma or heart disease. If you're eligible, we can vaccinate you under the NHS service at no charge — just ask when you arrive.

Late September to early November is ideal, so you're protected before flu starts circulating widely. However, getting vaccinated any time during flu season is still worthwhile.

It is generally safe to have flu and COVID vaccines on the same day, but availability of COVID boosters depends on current national guidance. Please ask in-store for the latest information.
