Impetigo Symptoms
It is important to note that there are two types of impetigo. There is impetigo which is characterized by blistering and non-bullous impetigo which does not typically involve blistering. While bullous impetigo may involve fluid-filled blisters, non-bullous impetigo can result in red sores and scabs. The sores and blisters can appear on any area of the body, including the hands, feet, chest, stomach, arms and around the mouth. In general, impetigo is highly contagious, easily transmitted and best treated early with proper follow up once treatment has been completed.
